1 killed in fiery rollover near Lauder, Ciceter in East Aldine
HARRIS CO., TX – A fatality has been reported following a fiery accident that happened Thursday morning in the northeast suburbs, reports Fox 26 Houston.
Sometime before 7:05 a.m., emergency crews responded to Lauder Road just west of I-45, or the Eastex Freeway in East Aldine, about 15 miles from Houston.
Police aren’t yet sure what caused the crash, which appears to have involved only one vehicle. After crashing, the car overturned and caught fire.
One person died at the scene; they’ve not yet been identified by authorities.
It’s unclear if anyone else was involved in the collision.
Officials closed Lauder Road between Ciceter Road and the freeway while teams worked at the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
