1 killed in solo crash near S Loop West, Fannin in SW Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A fatality has been confirmed in connection to a single-vehicle crash that happened Thursday night in southwest Houston.

According to Fox 26 Houston, the accident occurred late at night on South Loop West near Six Flags AstroWorld.

Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of a Dodge charger lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a tree in the median.

The driver, who has not yet been named by authorities, succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash.

There were no other passengers in the car at the time of the crash.
