11 injured in two-bus crash near Houston’s Memorial City area
HOUSTON, TX — Eleven people, including an operator, were hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after a crash involving two metro buses in northwest Houston, according to KHOU11.
The accident occurred near the corner of South Gessner Road and Perthshire Road, just south of the city’s Memorial City neighborhood. It was first reported at around 4:30 p.m.
Few details have been released, but METRO police said one bus appeared to have malfunctioned, which resulted in the crash.
All eleven patients were transported to three separate hospitals to be treated for injuries considered non-life-threatening.
At this time, no charges have been reported and no other information as been made available.
