12-year-old bicyclist killed by hit-and-run driver in northeast Houston

HOUSTON, TX – According to Click 2 Houston, a hit-and-run driver struck and killed a 12-year-old boy riding a bike on the 11900 block of Suburban Road Tuesday night.

The victim was riding a bicycle on the sidewalk while being chased by a dog when he lost control of the bike and fell onto the roadway. He was then struck by a person driving a black Chrysler 300 around 8:40 p.m.

Bystanders witnessed a black sedan run a stop sign and then saw the victim lying in the street. They performed CPR on the boy. Despite their efforts, first responders pronounced the boy dead at the scene.

Investigators believe the suspect was driving a 2015-2023 model black Chrysler 300.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office’s Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the crash.
