18-year-old claimed in motorcycle crash at Woodway, Post Oak
HOUSTON, TX – A motorcycle and an SUV collided at a busy west Houston intersection Tuesday night, killing an 18-year-old man.
According to abc 13, the crash occurred just prior to 9:30 p.m. at Woodway Drive and South Post Oak Lane in West Oaks. This is just west of the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center.
Police say that a Jeep was stopped in the northbound turn lane of eastbound Post Oak Lane when a westbound motorcycle collided with the SUV.
The operator of the motorcycle may have been speeding at the time of the collision. He died at the scene of the accident.
The 55-year-old driver of the SUV did not sustain injuries in the crash.
A full investigation is underway.
