2 dead following single-vehicle crash near River Oaks
HOUSTON, TX – Two people are dead after a driver plowed into a tree on Kirby Dr near San Felipe St on Thursday morning, according to KHOU.
A person was driving a Lexus when they lost control of their vehicle and crashed into a tree around 2:30 a.m.
First responders pronounced one passenger dead in the backseat of the Lexus. Paramedics transported the driver and another passenger to an area hospital, where the driver died.
Officials have not released any of the victims’ names.
It is unclear if impairment was a factor in the crash. Authorities discovered alcohol in the Lexus.
