2 hospitalized after two-vehicle collision in Katy 

KATY, TX – Two people were taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle collision in Katy on Tuesday, Fox26Houston said.

The crash happened around 8:45 p.m. on Katy Fort Bend Road. The incident unfolded when a man, driving a white Dodge Challenger, going south on Katy, tried to cross over into the westbound lanes and collided with the passenger side of a gray SUV.

The Dodge driver was uninjured, while the female SUV driver and her male passenger were injured.

EMS crews took the SUV passenger to a hospital, and medical helicopter personnel airlifted the SUV motorist to Memorial Hermann.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office does not suspect impairment was a contributing factor behind the collision and has not reported any charges.
