2 injured, 2 dead following single-vehicle crash on Wright Rd
HOUSTON, TX – Two people died, and two people were injured following a single-vehicle collision on Wright Rd near Spencer Rd on Sunday, according to KTRK.
The driver was heading south at excessive speeds when they lost control of the car and collided with a curb, multiple poles, and two fences around 6:20 p.m.
Rescue crews transported the driver and front passenger, who was the only one wearing a seatbelt, to an area hospital. The male and female in the backseat died in the collision.
Authorities found a bag of marijuana on the scene. They are working to determine if drugs or alcohol were factors in the incident.
The driver may face charges if he survives.
