2 killed in fiery two-vehicle collision in NE Houston  

NORTHEAST HOUSTON, TX – Two people lost their lives as a result of a fiery two-vehicle collision on the Eastex Freeway on Sunday.

Click2Houston said the crash occurred around 4:45 p.m. and was between a passenger vehicle and heavy truck. The impact of the collision caused at least one of the vehicles to catch on fire.

Due to the serious nature of the crash, officials had to close the southbound Eastex Freeway to allow Houston Police to conduct their investigation.

Authorities have not released the victims’ names and are actively working to determine the events leading to the crash.
