3 people killed by suspected drunk driver on I-10 East
HOUSTON, TX- An intoxicated driver drove into a group of three people who were on the side of the highway in the early morning of March 31st, KHOU11 reports.
All three people were confirmed to have been killed when authorities arrived on site at 16852 East Freeway. The victims were all standing outside of their vehicle when they were hit. It is not known why they were not in the vehicle.
The incident occurred around 1a.m. It was close to Magnolia Avenue and that particular section of I-10 was predicted to be closed for several hours as authorities investigated.

Because the at-fault driver was intoxicated at the time of the crash, that driver faces three counts of intoxication manslaughter.
