5 hurt after police chase ends with crash in Greater Hobby Area
HOUSTON, TX – Five people were hurt in a wreck while eluding police on Telephone Rd near Almeda Genoa on Thursday morning, according to ABC 13.
Officers in Pasadena attempted to stop the driver of a Hyundai Elantra that was reported stolen, but the driver sped off.
After being chased for 10 minutes, the driver lost control and collided with a gate around 1 a.m. The collision caused the car to flip and land on its roof.
An officer who was pursuing the car performed CPR on one of the injured passengers.
Rescue crews transported the five people inside the car to an area hospital. The extent of their injuries is unclear.
It is unknown what anyone will be charged with.
