5 injured, 1 killed in early morning South Austin Crash

AUSTIN, TX – Austin-Travis County officials responded to a deadly crash in South Austin that resulted in five hospitalizations and one death.

According to the Austin-Travis County EMS Twitter page, the incident occurred at about 2:30 a.m. on the 2800 block of Farm to Market 1327 Road. Upon their arrival at the scene, medics had to work extremely hard to free one victim who was trapped in a vehicle and assist others who suffered injuries in the crash.

Five victims were taken to area hospitals via ambulance; the sixth was pronounced dead by the time STARflight arrived at the scene.
