79-year-old driver dies in multi-vehicle crash on Westview Drive in Houston
HOUSTON, TX – A 79-year-old man died Tuesday afternoon in a multi-vehicle crash along Westview Drive in Houston, per the Houston Police Department.
The collision happened around 4 p.m. near 7800 Westview Drive.
Police say the man was driving eastbound in a gray BMW 530i before the impact. The BMW reportedly hit the back of another vehicle, which triggered a collision with three additional vehicles.
Investigators believe the BMW driver may have experienced a medical emergency just before the wreck. Paramedics took the man to a local hospital after the collision, where he later died.
Officials have not yet released his name pending identification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Reports indicate that no one else suffered serious harm in the crash. The incident remains under review.
