8 hospitalized after Greyhound bus, semi-truck rear-end crash in Baytown 

BAYTOWN, TX – Eight people were hospitalized after a rear-end crash between a Greyhound bus and a semi-truck in Baytown on Thursday.

The incident unfolded before 1:15 p.m. near Thompson Road when the bus and semi-truck collided on East Freeway West, Fox26Houston said. A Baytown City official described the crash as a “minor fender bender,” although it is not immediately clear whether the bus crashed into the back of the truck or the truck into the back of the bus.

Regardless, the impact of the collision left eight bus occupants with non-life-threatening injuries, all of whom were sent to the hospital.

Authorities have since cleared the bus from the road.
