Head-on crash with semi on HW 36 leaves 1 woman dead
CALDWELL, TX- A driver died when her car crashed into a semi on Highway 36 while she was trying to pass another vehicle on Feb. 11th, KBTX reports.
Around 10:25a.m., Elizabeth Garcia, 23, tried passing a car on her side of the road. This caused her northbound 2016 Hyundai Accent to crash head-on with an oncoming semi that was traveling south. The 2019 Freightliner 18-wheeler and the Hyundai left debris on the road after colliding, and a 2014 Ford Focus drove straight into it. The Ford had been traveling south behind the Hyundai and was impacted by the debris left on the road.
