Child dies after being hit by car on Westpark Dr in west Houston
HOUSTON, TX — A boy was fatally injured Thursday morning in a pedestrian crash near a west Houston intersection, according to ABC13.
The incident occurred in the 1000 block of Westpark Drive at South Gessner Road, at around 9:00 a.m.
While the circumstances of the event were not immediately clear, Houston Police said the boy was hit by a driver in a silver Toyota 4-runner.
First responders rushed the child to Texas Children’s Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Authorities said the driver remained at the scene following the crash. Two Houston Police Department patrol units had the intersection blocked off as officials worked the scene.
No other information has been shared and no charges have been reported as an investigation remains in progress.
