12-year-old girl dies following wreck on TX 99
HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A 12-year-old girl died in a single-vehicle collision at TX 99 and West Rd on Monday, according to KTRK.
Ms. Rangel-Ramos, 36, was driving home to Conroe from visiting San Antonio when she strayed off the road and collided with a cable barrier. The collision caused the vehicle to roll over and eject a 12-year-old girl.
Rescue crews pronounced the 12-year-old girl dead at the scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt. Crews transported another passenger, a 16-year-old, to an area hospital with a broken clavicle.
The other three occupants of the vehicle, a 1-year-old, a 3-year-old, and a 56-year-old woman, were not hurt in the collision.
Authorities do not believe Rangel-Ramos was impaired. She is cooperating with the investigation.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
