2 dead following BMW crash near Fondren Gardens
HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Police Department is investigating a fatal BMW crash that happened on S Main St near Fondren Rd on Sunday, according to KTRK.
The BMW driver was weaving in and out of traffic and attempted to take an exit three or four lanes over while going over 100 mph when he strayed off the road and slammed into a sign around 10 p.m. The impact split the BMW in half.
Rescue crews pronounced the driver dead at the scene and transported the passenger to an area hospital, where he died.
Officials have not released the driver’s or passenger’s names.
