1 dead following single-vehicle collision on Guinn Ave
HOUSTON, TX – One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash on the 16600 block of Guinn Ave on Saturday, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Tiera Arnolds was driving a blue 2020 Nissan Pathfinder west on Guinn St when she was forced to turn left onto First St. Arnolds hydroplaned, rotated counterclockwise, and slammed into a tree with the rear of the Nissan around 1:25 p.m.
A passenger from the third row, Rayean Carter, was not wearing a seatbelt. Rescue crews performed life-saving measures on Carter before transporting her to an area hospital, where she died.
The Vehicular Crimes Division of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
