1 dead after motorcycle crash on Beltway 8 at US-290 in NW Houston
HOUSTON, TX – A motorcycle collision late last Saturday, August 24, in northwest Houston claimed the life of at least one person, according to FOX 26 Houston.
The fatal wreck took place in the 7000 block of the northbound West Sam Houston Tollway North (Beltway 8). Authorities were on the scene at the time of FOX 26’s report at 4:42 p.m.
While the cause and nature of the accident has not been disclosed with the public, emergency crews responded to the scene where a section of the northbound Beltway 8 was shut down. The ramp connecting southbound Beltway 8 to eastbound US-290 was also closed.
Motorists were warned of delays impacting the area.
As of this writing, authorities have not confirmed whether the person killed was the motorcyclist. No charges have been reported following the incident.
