1 dead following 2-vehicle crash near Cypress Meadows
HARRIS COUNTY, TX – One person died, and several were injured in a two-vehicle collision at Clay Rd and Dayflower Dr on Saturday, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
A person was driving a black Maserati SUV west on Clay Rd when they collided with the driver of an eastbound grey Toyota Corolla, turning left onto Dayflower Dr around 10:50 a.m. The Toyota driver had failed to yield the right of way to the Maserati.
The collision caused the Toyota to roll over on its roof. Both vehicles left the roadway and crashed into a ditch.
First responders transported the woman driving the Toyota to an area hospital. They pronounced the female passenger in the Toyota dead at the scene.
The Maserati driver and two of their passengers suffered minor injuries. Paramedics transported a juvenile passenger from the Maserati to an area hospital.
