Tesla driver crashes into pole in The Woodlands
THE WOODLANDS, TX – According to Click 2 Houston, a Tesla caught on fire after its driver slammed into a pole at Sawdust Road and Woodland Field Crossing on Sunday.
The Tesla driver plowed into the pole around 9:48 p.m.
Bystanders extricated the driver from the vehicle by the time emergency crews arrived.
First responders stabilized the driver and transported him to an area hospital.
Firefighters extinguished the fire by covering the vehicle with an EV fire blanket while using water from an unmaned hose line to cool it.
The incident is under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
