Vehicle collides with HPD cruiser in Midtown, injuring 4

HOUSTON, TX – A two-vehicle collision caused by an alleged drunk driver injured four people over the Thanksgiving weekend in Houston.

According to abc 13, the accident happened late Sunday evening at the intersection of Chenevert Street and Tuam Street in Midtown. This is west of I-69 and northeast of Baldwin Park.

Police say that a westbound car collided with a northbound police cruiser when the driver of the former vehicle failed to heed a stop sign.

Medics transported both officers from the cruiser and two people from the sedan to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say the driver showed signs of intoxication.

There’s no word yet regarding charges.
