Major crash near Sidney Sherman Bridge blocks I-610 SB
HOUSTON, TX – First responders were on the scene of a major accident in east Houston Tuesday night, reports Click 2 Houston.
Shortly before 7 p.m., officials closed the southbound lanes of I-610, or the East Loop Freeway, near Manchester Street, which is just south of the Sidney Sherman Bridge over Buffalo Bayou.
There’s no word yet regarding the cause of the collision, the number of cars involved, or the manner in which the vehicles impacted.
Authorities reported substantial delays along I-610 southbound while ambulances and police worked at the scene.
