Fatality reported in Port Arthur crash on TX-73 near Pat Rd
PORT ARTHUR, TX – Around 11:30 p.m. last Friday, emergency crews responded to a collision along the highway in Jefferson County.
According to 12 News Now, the crash occurred on TX-73 near Pat Avenue in west Port Arthur, about 90 miles east of Houston.
Police haven’t yet shared any details about the cause of the accident, the number of cars involved, or the manner in which they vehicles impacted.
One person, police say, sustained fatal injuries. The victim’s name has not been released to the public.
Officials closed the westbound side of the highway in the area of the collision while teams worked to clear the scene.
