Houston PD investigate fatal solo crash near I-610, Doolittle

HOUSTON, TX – A man died Saturday in a single-vehicle collision along the interstate in south-central Houston, reports Fox 26. 

Shortly before midnight, emergency crews responded to a fatal accident on I-610 near Doolittle Boulevard, which is just northwest of EP Hill Park.

Police say that for unknown reasons, a man in his 30s lost control of his vehicle on South Loop East, hit a concrete wall, and crashed along the roadway.

The driver died after transport to an area hospital. Authorities have not yet released his name to the public.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident, and the investigation is ongoing.
