Pedestrian killed in suspected hit-and-run in Harris County
HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A pedestrian was killed in a suspected hit-and-run early Sunday morning in Harris County, reports FOX 26 Houston.
Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 500 block of Manor Street near East Sam Houston Parkway North around 3:00 a.m. on March 29, 2026. When police first arrived, emergency personnel were already providing medical aid to the victim. Despite those efforts, officials pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Investigators say the victim was walking southbound on Manor Street while pushing a cart when a vehicle struck him. Witnesses said the impact was severe enough to carry the pedestrian roughly 50 feet from the point of collision.
Officials have released only limited information about the vehicle involved. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect vehicle may be a white sedan. The police have not identified a driver or confirmed any additional details at this time. The case remains under active investigation.
