Woman killed Saturday in west Houston two-car crash
HOUSTON, TX – A female passenger died after two cars crashed early Saturday near Gessner Road and Centrepark Drive, reports Click2Houston.
The wreck reportedly happened around 2:20 a.m. in west Houston. Police say the collision involved a Honda Accord carrying two young women and a white Ford Taurus with one adult male occupant.
According to reports, the Honda driver was attempting to turn onto Centrepark from northbound Gessner just before the crash occurred. At the same time, the Ford driver was heading the opposite way on Gessner. The vehicles then collided near the intersection.
Medics transported the Honda’s front passenger to a hospital. She died there from her injuries.
Police continue to review whether speeding might have contributed to the crash. They are also examining both drivers for possible impairment.
HPD had not announced any charges filed as of Saturday morning.
