Pedestrian killed in Highway 90 crash near South Post Oak Road
HOUSTON, TX – A pedestrian died Tuesday morning after a vehicle struck them on Highway 90 near South Post Oak Road, reports ABC 13.
Houston police say that the crash happened around 5:30 a.m. The motorist, who was operating a blue Mercedes-Benz EQB, reportedly contacted authorities after the collision.
Aerial footage later showed heavy damage to the passenger-side windshield of the vehicle.
Emergency responders confirmed that the pedestrian died at the crash location. Officials have not released the victim’s name.
Houston TranStar reported that crews finished clearing the roadway at around 9:30 a.m.
Police have not clarified what may have caused the fatal crash. However, investigators confirmed that they found no signs of driver impairment.
