Man in his 50s killed in crash caused by alleged red light runner, Houston PD says 

HOUSTON, TX – A Hispanic man in his 50s was killed in a crash caused by a driver, who police suspect ran a red light on Tuesday. 

The crash happened at 4 a.m. at the intersection of Sablechase Drive & T C Jester Boulevard, according to ABC13. Police said the suspected red light runner crashed their red Toyota into a white RAV4.

Subsequently, the driver of the RAV, the man in his 50s, died from his injuries. Police have not released his identity and said he lived in the neighborhood and was on his way to work when the collision occurred.

Police said they spotted several open containers of alcohol in the Toyota, but said it is too early in the investigation to confirm whether the driver was impaired.

A full investigation is underway.
