7 hospitalized after multi-vehicle crash involving METRO bus

HOUSTON, TX – Seven people are in the hospital following a collision involving a METRO bus and four other vehicles, ABC 13 reports.

The collision happened in the 11000 block of Almeda Road on the city’s south side at about4 p.m. last Thursday.

The exact circumstances of the crash are unclear at this time. However, one of the drivers attempted to flee the scene and was later taken into custody by police.

Emergency responders transported seven people to area hospitals. We do not know the nature or severity of their injuries.

Of the nine people on the bus who reported injuries, only one was hospitalized.
