1 life claimed in pedestrian crash in West Houston 

WEST HOUSTON, TX – One person’s life was claimed in a pedestrian crash in West Houston on Monday, KHOU said.

The collision happened around 5:30 a.m. at WestPark Drive and Fondren Road. Transportation crews shut down the tollway for the on-scene clean-up process and investigation and advised commuters to use Interstate 10, Westheimer, Richmond, or even Grand Parkway southbound to the Southwest Freeway inbound as alternative routes.

The Houston Fire Department and police responded to the scene.

At this time, authorities did not disclose the deceased’s identity or state the events leading up to the crash.
