Accident shuts down HOV lane on I-45 in North Houston
HOUSTON, TX – Multiple lanes of I-45 were blocked following a crash on Houston’s North Side this afternoon.
According to Total Traffic Houston, the incident occurred at about 2:20 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the North Freeway near the exit to Cypresswood Drive.

As a result of the accident, traffic in the surrounding areas came to a crawl, causing delays and frustration among motorists. The stop-and-go traffic extended back to the Louetta Road exit, further compounding the congestion on the already busy highway.
