Alleged drunk driver collides with squad car, injures 2 deputies in northwest Houston
HOUSTON, TX – A suspected impaired driver collided with a squad car and injured two deputies at the Sam Houston Toll Road and Ella Boulevard on Thursday, according to Click 2 Houston.
Wilfredo Chaves Arzola, 32, hit the deputies’ vehicle as they were responding to an incident.
First responders flew one deputy to the hospital and transported the other deputy via ambulance.
One deputy, a woman, was released from the hospital Thursday afternoon. The other deputy, a man, is in stable condition.
Authorities charged Azrola with intoxication assault with serious bodily injury to a peace officer and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon to a peace officer.
