Alleged impaired driver strikes, kills pedestrian on TX 99 in Tomball
TOMBALL, TX – A suspected impaired driver fatally collided with a pedestrian on the 10900 block of TX 99 on Thursday, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Cody Russell Jense was driving a blue 2001 Chevrolet Silverado west on TX 99 when he hit an unidentified black male around 10:23 p.m.
Rescue crews pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Following the collision, Jensen remained at the scene and showed signs of impairment. He provided a blood sample to be analyzed. Charges are pending.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the incident.
