Alleged impaired driver strikes, kills woman on Interstate 10 in east Houston
HOUSTON, TX – According to Click 2 Houston, a suspected impaired driver fatally collided with a woman on the East Freeway near Uvalde Road Saturday night.
A family was heading home in a white Hyundai Santa Fe when an argument broke out. A 43-year-old woman requested to exit the vehicle for a fresh hairdo. The driver pulled over onto the left shoulder. The woman got out of the car and walked into traffic.
Morgan Lindsey Stabell, 32, was driving a black Honda Pilot east when she hit the 43-year-old woman.
Following the collision, Stabell remained at the scene.
First responders pronounced the 43-year-old woman dead at the scene.
Authorities determined Stabell was impaired and arrested her for DWI.
