Amazon truck hits car at TX-288 and Sam Houston, killing 1
HOUSTON, TX – A man died the night after Thanksgiving in a two-vehicle ejection crash that happened on the south side of Houston, reports Fox 26.
Shortly before 11 p.m., emergency crews responded to a fatal collision on the southbound service road for TX-288 near the Sam Houston Tollway. This is south of Saber Cats Stadium in the Almeda area.
Police say that an Amazon truck struck a car when the truck driver failed to heed a stop sign. The unrestrained driver of the car, who has not yet been identified by police, died after being ejected into the roadway.
Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim.
It’s unclear if the truck driver will face charges in connection to the accident.
