At least 1 killed in multi-vehicle wreck on N Loop W Fwy at US-290
HOUSTON, TX — Authorities confirmed at least one fatality after a multi-vehicle crash Thursday morning on the North Loop West Freeway in northwest Houston, reports KHOU11.
The wreck occurred on the northbound lanes of the freeway (Interstate 610) at the U.S. Highway 290 split, in the city’s Lazybrook/Timbergrove area. Houston Police and first responders were called to the scene shortly after 10:49 a.m.
No details regarding the circumstances of the crash or the involved parties have been shared, but all northbound lanes of the North Loop West were blocked near Hempstead Road as a result.
Motorists were told to expect delays during the emergency response and investigation.
