Barrett Settlement crash on Crosby Lynchburg proves fatal
CROSBY, TX – A driver sustained fatal injuries over the weekend in a solo crash along a major roadway in east-central Harris County, reports KHOU 11.
The accident happened shortly before 2:30 a.m. Sunday on Crosby Lynchburg Road near Barrett Settlement, which is approximately 23 minutes northeast of Houston.
Police say that the driver of a Dodge Charger was travelling at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his car, left the roadway, and hit an electric pole.
The driver, identified as Oscar Pedraza Lopez, died at the scene of the crash.
There were no other passengers in the Charger at the time of the collision.
It’s unclear if the crash resulted in local power outages.
A full investigation is underway.
