Bicyclist fatally struck along Jensen Dr near Firnat St

HOUSTON, TX – A cyclist sustained fatal injuries Thursday night in a crash that happened on the northeast side of Houston.

According to Click 2 Houston, the bicycle accident occurred around 8:15 p.m. on Jensen Drive between Wimberly Street and Laura Koppe Road. This is west of I-69 in the Eastex-Jensen area.

It’s not yet clear if the cyclist was riding on or along the roadway when they were struck.

Authorities are still working to identify the victim.

The driver involved in the collision stopped to render aid and to speak with police.

No charges have been filed thus far.
