Bicyclist injured in crash with pickup on MLK in Beaumont

BEAUMONT, TX – Emergency crews responded to an injury accident over the weekend on the east side of Beaumont, reports 12 News Now.

Around noon, police say, a GMC truck collided with a bicyclist on South Martin Luther King Parkway between Bowie Street and Fannin Street.

Police haven’t yet disclosed any further details regarding the circumstances of the crash.

Medics transported the cyclist to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.

Officials closed MLK Parkway in the area of the collision while crews gathered evidence and worked to clear the scene.
