Bicyclist loses life when runover by a truck on Aldine Westfield Rd.
HOUSTON, TX- A man was bicycling on Aldine Westfield Rd. when he fell off his bike and was fatally struck by a truck and trailer on Feb. 23rd, the HPD reports.
Both the bicyclist and the driver of the gray Ford F-150 pickup truck with the HMDE trailer attached were heading south when the accident occurred. The bicyclist suddenly fell off his bike and happened to fall in-between the truck and trailer at 10200 Aldine Westfield Road around 7:35p.m.
The victim died from his wounds while at the scene after having the vehicle crush him. The truck driver was not harmed in the accident and fully cooperated with authorities. It was determined that the driver was sober and not impaired.
There continues to be an investigation into this case.
