Car driver’s life claimed in fiery rear-end collision in Houston 

HOUSTON, TX – A car driver’s life was claimed in a fiery rear-end collision involving a parked big rig on Sunday, Click2Houston said.

Houston police said the crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. on northbound Dorsett Avenue along Pillot Street. Police determined that a driver of a sedan crashed into the back of a parked semi-truck.

The impact of the crash caused the sedan to slam into a fence before catching on fire.

The sedan driver, the sole occupant of their vehicle, succumbed to their injuries at 3:41 a.m.

Police do not know if intoxication could have been a contributing factor behind the crash and are continuing to piece together the events that led to the collision.
