Cement truck overturns, causing hazmat spill on Rice Rd near Hockley
HARRIS COUNTY, TX — Authorities were called to a rollover crash involving a cement truck Tuesday morning near Hockley, reports ABC13.
The Waller County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened on a stretch of Rice Road east of Bradbury Road, at around 10:00 a.m.
Although the cause of the wreck has not been specified, aerial footage captured by SkyEye crews indicates the big rig overturned on the bridge’s side.
No one was reported injured, but at least part of the roadway was blocked off as hazmat crews worked to clear the resulting cement and fuel spill.
Authorities said the bridge was also expected to be assessed for structural damage after the large truck is cleared from the scene.
