Child on e-bike killed in collision with vehicle in Katy

KATY, TX – An 11-year-old child on an e-bike was killed in a collision involving a vehicle in Katy on Thursday, Fox26Houston said.

The young e-bike rider was struck by a vehicle around 5:15 p.m. in the area of Elk Ridge Lane and Roesner Road.

A medical helicopter airlifted the young child from Katy to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where they later died.

The driver stayed at the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
