Constables investigate deadly 3-vehicle crash on Jones Rd
HOUSTON, TX – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating a fatal three-vehicle collision that happened on the 11500 block of Jones Rd on Tuesday.
Darrick Turner was driving a gold 2012 Buick Lacrosse north on Jones Rd when he lost control of his vehicle and strayed into the southbound lanes, where he collided with the left rear of a Nissan driven by Devion Spears. Turner’s Lacrosse continued to spin counterclockwise and hit a black 2013 Mazda 3 around 9:23 p.m.
The collisions sent Turner’s car into a ditch, where it then flipped over and hit a fence.
Rescue crews transported Turner to an area hospital, where he died. They took Spears, his infant passenger, and Roman to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
