Crews respond to chemical spill in East Houston
HOUSTON, TX – Hazmat crews were called to the scene of a chemical spill yesterday after a tanker truck overturned near East Loop and the Buffalo Bayou, ABC 13 reports.
The Houston Fire Department asked residents near the 400 block of 92nd Street to stay indoors as a safety precaution while they worked the scene.

The truck was transporting propionic acid, which can cause respiratory problems and skin irritation. Fortunately, it does not appear as though anyone was injured at this time.
