Cyclist dies after hit-and-run crash in NE Harris County
HARRIS COUNTY, TX — A man was fatally hit by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene in Crosby late Sunday night, according to ABC13.
Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene in the 12800 block of Crosby Lynchburg Road shortly after 11:00 p.m.
Preliminary details show the male cyclist was traveling northbound on the road when he was hit from the back by what is believed to be a dark-colored truck or van of unknown make and model.
Authorities said the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the involved driver fled the scene before first responders arrived.
Though there are no known witnesses, investigators are working to review footage from nearby surveillance cameras.
