Cyclist fatally struck at Wayside, Navigation in E Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A 45-year-old bicyclist died Tuesday when a vehicle struck him at a busy intersection in the Greater East End.

According to abc 13, the accident occurred in the evening at the intersection of Wayside Drive and Navigation Boulevard.

Police say that a northbound GMC Yukon struck a man on a bicycle when the cyclist failed to heed right of way at the intersection.

Authorities have not yet identified the deceased cyclist.

The driver involved in the collision stopped to render aid and to speak with police.

No charges have been filed thus far.
