Cyclist’s life claimed in hit-and-run crash in New Caney 

NEW CANEY, TX – A cyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash that happened in New Caney, Fox26Houston said. 

Texas Department of Public Safety believes the suspect rear-ended the cyclist in the area of f Loop 494 and the Grand Parkway. The cyclist fell from his bike and succumbed to his injuries. Law enforcement pulled up to the scene before 10:30 a.m. on Thursday and said they found his body in a ditch on the northbound side of the road. 

Authorities believe the suspect continued driving north, but have not been able to provide a description of them or the make and model of their vehicle. 

The cyclist’s name has not been released.
